THEME

The Theme of WHD 2023 is "Hydrography – underpinning the digital twin of the ocean".

The Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Office (NNHO) is pleased to announce that the 2023 World Hydrography Day (WHD-2023) is scheduled to hold at the NAF Conference Centre Abuja on 21 June 2023. The Theme for this year is “Hydrography – Underpinning the Digital Twin of the Ocean”. The theme is designed to highlight the relationship between hydrography and oceanography, and how hydrography can play a key role in developing the digital twin of the Ocean.

2. Prospective participants are invited to submit papers that are related to the theme. All paper submissions will be reviewed based on originality, technical and/or research depth, accuracy and relevance to the conference theme. If accepted, authors would be requested to send full text paper.


3. Authors are encouraged to adopt the following guidelines:

  • The paper must be original and should not have been previously published.
  • The paper should be written in formal English language using MS-Word (.doc or .docx format only).
  • The paper is to be neatly typed, double spaced in Times New Roman font size 14 not exceeding 15 pages
  • Five keywords are to be involved in the abstract.
  • Full names, emails and phone numbers of authors and affiliations must be included.
